PUBLIC NOTICE: REVISED MARKET ORDINANCES (EFFECTIVE OCT 1)
1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
The weekly Market of Intangibles shall operate every Tuesday from 06:00 to 18:00. All vendors must register their inventory with the Clerk of Concepts prior to stall assignment. Failure to disclose the origin of an intangible asset may result in immediate expulsion from the market grounds.
2. PROHIBITED TRANSACTIONS
2.1 The sale, trade, or lease of Childhood Innocence is strictly prohibited under Section 44-B. Any asset identified as such will be seized and neutralized by the Council.
2.2 The transfer of Legal Names or Primary Identities requires a certified Notary of Essence. Trading names without a stamped deed of transfer is a Class 3 misdemeanor.
2.3 The sale of "True Love" is banned due to systemic inflation and a lack of verifiable purity standards. Any vendor claiming to possess a pure sample will be detained for fraud.
3. CURRENT VALUATION RATES
The following exchange rates are mandated for the current lunar cycle:
- Quietude (Standard Grade): 1 unit = 12 hours of Uninterrupted Sleep or 3 units of Minor Patience.
- First Loves (Unblemished): 1 unit = 5 years of Mid-Level Professional Ambition or 10 units of Rare Confidence.
- Nostalgia (Generic): 1 unit = 2 liters of Fresh Rainwater (collected during autumn).
4. PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFEGUARDS
4.1 Citizens are warned against the over-trading of core personality traits.
4.2 Excessive divestment of Empathy or Moral Compass may lead to Permanent Sociopathy. The Town Council assumes no liability for the resulting social alienation or subsequent legal repercussions.
4.3 Trade limits: No individual may divest more than 15% of their total Emotional Reserve within a single calendar month. Exceeding this limit requires a medical waiver from a licensed Psyche-Surgeon.
5. ENFORCEMENT
Inspectors from the Bureau of Weights and Measures will conduct random audits of memory jars and emotion vials. Non-compliance will result in the immediate seizure of the vendor's sense of smell for a period of thirty days.
By order of the Lower Vale Town Council.
Signed,
H. Sterling, Commissioner of Intangibles
