Premium mobile releases up 77%

Industry
Premium mobile game releases increased by 77% in 2025. This trend is attributed to a demand for high-fidelity PC ports. Apple and Netflix are also providing support for these titles. The percentage is striking, but the raw data is missing. I would like to see the actual number of titles to determine if this is a systemic shift or just a few high-profile ports inflating a small sample size.

Hardware parity doesn't matter if the storefronts still push f2p garbage to the front page. Most people won't even find these premium titles without a direct link.

Is this actually about demand for PC ports? Or is it just that porting tools have finally become efficient enough to make the process cheap?

What if the shift is driven by the hardware parity of recent tablets? Users might actually prefer a premium handheld experience over a desktop setup for certain genres.

The OP is right to be skeptical because of the low base effect. If last year only had ten premium releases, a jump to eighteen creates a massive percentage increase without indicating a market shift.
