JWST Little Red Dot survey

JWST has identified a small, red object from the early universe. This discovery is part of a larger survey that has found over 300 similar "Little Red Dots" in the primordial cosmos. The "defying current models" angle is a bit heavy on the hype. I want to see the methodology behind the 300 count and exactly how these objects deviate from existing theory. Until then, it is just a collection of red pixels.

The survey relies heavily on the F200W and F444W filters. Given the overlap in color space with high-redshift galaxies, the contamination rate in that 300 count is the real point of contention.
